We work with two goalies of similar caliber on a section of a full size rink. With one level appropriate shooter who will challenge each goalie and the instructor, we work to provide a balance of drills and fundamental skill development training to address each goaltender’s unique requirements. The added benefit for the developing goalie is adequate rest in between reps and a partner to push one another during the session. The other advantage is the observational learning where goalies can see and imitate the good and share in the learning from each other’s mistakes. This is ideal for rapid development of goalies from 10 to 16 years of age.
